Dr. Steven Chasens, Acupuncture Physician, founded Coral Gables Acupuncture in 1996. Dr. Chasens studied Acupuncture in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. He was nationally Board Certified in Acupuncture from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 1996. Dr. Chasens received his Diplomat of Chinese Herbal Medicine from the National Board Certification in Chinese Herbology in 1997.

Dr. Chasens has a Bachelors degree from the University of Miami and a Masters degree from Nova Southeastern University. He has been a guest lecturer for the University of Miami School of Medicine, the University of Miami School of Nursing and Nova Southeastern School of Osteopathy. Dr. Chasens has presented numerous community lectures throughout Miami-Dade County and is proud to be the local Chanel 4 and Chanel 6 expert on Acupuncture and Herbal medicine.

Dr. Pat Barbee has been an active general practice acupuncture physician in the State of Florida since 1995 and a licensed massage and structural bodywork specialist for over 20 years. His background includes advanced Chinese herbal medicine training, co-directing and teaching programs for the treatment of muscular-skeletal pain, and the development of treatment and exercise therapy protocols for challenging spinal disc and joint pain. Pat is a member of the Florida based Acupuncture Physicians Association.

Dr. Liliana Gomez received both her master’s degree in acupuncture and  oriental medicine and her bachelor’s degree in health sciences from the  Atlantic institute of oriental medicine.  With more than seven years experience in the health care field dr. Gomez’s specialties include color therapy, injection therapy and manual therapy.  She is a board certified physician who believes in approaching therapies from a holistic and humanitarian approach.

Ivana Diez (Director of Marketing and Strategic Development) has been with Coral Gables Acupuncture since 2008. Ivana obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Florida State University in 2002. She has previously worked for the Florida Grand Opera, the Coconut Grove Playhouse, Dermalogica and MKTG/U.S. Concepts working with key clients such as Johnnie Walker, Jose Cuervo and Guinness. Ivana has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Miami Dade College.

Donna Vazquez (Office Manager) has been the office manager for Coral Gables Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine since 2002. Before working for us, she had been an office administrator for Cedros and an optometrist. Donna is currently pursuing a degree in Nursing at Miami Dade College. Her long term goal is to be a nurse/midwife.

Rebecca Rinderknecht (Marketing Manager) graduated from Florida International University in 2009 with a Bachelors degree in Marketing and is currently working towards a Masters in Business Administration. She has been involved in marketing and promotions since 2003 and has represented brands such as Mercedes Benz, Verizon Wireless and Sharpie. She loves bringing positive energy and spirit to the Coral Gables Acupuncture family.

Jacquelyn Felizola (Administrative and Marketing Assistant) has been with Coral Gables Acupuncture since 2009. Jacquelyn is working towards obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Florida International University in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Marketing. She has previously worked for Executive National Bank, Freund Fisher Goldstein & Co. and Accentmarketing. Previous key clients include the Humane Society of Greater Miami, Tobacco Free Florida, Jack Daniels, General Motors and US Navy.
